The adventures of a Renaissance Festival Artisan

Norman Medieval Fair and Wichita Great Plains Renaissance Festival

Both of these fairs were fantastic!

At the Norman Medieval Fair the weather was perfect and there were so many people that attended! We really were happily surprised by how large this fair was. The best thing about this fair was the street performers, very kid friendly and entertaining. This is one we definitely plan on going back to.

The Wichita Great Plains Renaissance Festival had perfect weather as well! Although Sunday the winds were treacherous! This still is by far our favorite fair, since it’s our home-town fair we could be a bit partial. Some of the things we love about this festival: everyone comes in costume. It’s great to see that most people at this fair come in some sort of costume, it enhances the experience for everyone. We also love the King & Queen at this festival! These people never break out of character, and for someone new to the “game” we always feel a bit out of sorts because we don’t know the lingo yet, but they are very gracious, kind and the most personable of all that we have met- at fairs which we have only attended and those which we sold at.

So after a very busy month of April we’re relaxing a bit and looking at adding some new fairs to our schedule this summer. We will be sure to post any that we will be at to our blog so you can come see us.
