About our fairy wings: We strive for a balance of beauty, durability, and use a little bit of magic when creating our wings. We are always inventing new techniques and experimenting with new materials to achieve the most beautiful wings available on the web. Our current construction combination includes clear vinyl, cellophanes, pvc, and other plastic type materials. We have a few cellophane only wings left in-stock, but once those are sold all our wings will have an outer layer of clear vinyl to protect them, make them more durable, and still achieve a beautifully delicate appearance. This combination is very tough and would be difficult to puncture or tear even with some banging around. Jen wore our 3 tier style fairy wings through a narrow forest maze at the Muskogee Castle, being poked and pulled by every branch imaginable! The wings immerged from the maze unscathed and in still perfect condition! Yes, we went over them inch by inch because the maze was so brutal! If the wings can make it through that, they can make it through any party or fair you could throw at them!
About our headwreaths: All of our headwreaths begin with a sturdy base of strong electrical wire, this makes it pliable for fitting to the head, yet sturdy for years of use and also so it will keep it's shape when used as a wall decoration. The wire is then covered with floral tape, either green or white depending on the style of the end piece. Next we creatively select the flowers, buds, stems, leaves, and other accents that will be used to construct the headwreath. All elements are secured using a combination of hot glue, floral wire, and floral tape. We make sure that any wire or other ends that may "poke" are covered in floral tape, so that our headwreaths are comfortable to wear as well as beautiful. We also shake and gently pull at the headwreath to make sure all flowers, leaves, etc are secure and won't fall off during wear, anything that may be lose are secured again with hotglue or more tape. Lastly, we tie matching ribbons and toile to flow down the back. We do not skimp on ribbons or flowers, our headwreaths are FULL-- full on flowers, full on ribbons, and full on beauty. We have not seen any that match our quality and attention to detail!
